ABOUT BARAZA
A STUDIO NAMED FOR A GATHERING PLACE
The name is the idea. Baraza is the council, the bench, the veranda where people come together to work out what matters and decide what happens next.
01 WHY BARAZA
GOOD IDEAS ARE NOT ENOUGH ON THEIR OWN.
Across consumer products, social impact, startups, and innovation ecosystems, the same pattern keeps appearing: the idea is rarely the only challenge. Progress depends on whether the right insight, people, authority, and capabilities can stay connected long enough to move the work forward.
Baraza was created to help pull the pieces together.
02 OUR BELIEFS
GOOD WORK SHOULD CHANGE WHAT IS POSSIBLE.
The work organizations take on can shape how people live, what communities can access, and which ideas have the chance to grow. We also believe:
GOOD IDEAS GROW THROUGH CONNECTION. When different perspectives meet, ideas become stronger, possibilities expand, and better paths forward emerge.
THE BEST WORK DRAWS FROM LIVED EXPERIENCE. The people closest to a challenge bring insight that cannot be gained from a distance. Their experience helps shape ideas, decisions, and solutions that are more relevant, grounded, and lasting.
SHARED UNDERSTANDING MAKES MOVEMENT POSSIBLE. When people can see the challenge clearly and have a shared understanding of what matters most, they can make stronger decisions and move forward together.
MEANINGFUL PROGRESS IS BOTH HUMAN AND STRATEGIC. The strongest work brings rigor and humanity together. Evidence, structure, and disciplined thinking matter, but so do trust, emotion, culture, and the realities of the people involved.
03 THE BREADTH
EXPERIENCE TO CONNECT THE DOTS.
Baraza draws on more than 25 years of experience across consumer products, social impact, startups, and regional innovation ecosystems.
That experience makes it possible to see research not as the end of the work, but as one input into the decisions, relationships, and conditions required to move an idea forward. We understand how ideas move inside organizations, how founders navigate uncertainty, how communities experience decisions, and how ecosystems influence possibility.
CONSUMER PRODUCTS & BRANDS: Research, innovation, product development, and strategy inside global consumer businesses.
SOCIAL IMPACT: Strategy, program design, facilitation, and partnership development with nonprofits, foundations, and community organizations.
STARTUPS & ECOSYSTEMS: Founder support, corporate-startup collaboration, ecosystem building, and the networks that help ideas move toward traction.
Experience includes work with P&G, Kao, startups, nonprofits, civic institutions, and regional innovation organizations.
